Other common causes of death include respiratory diseases, accidents, and diabetes. However, there have been significant changes in the number of deaths related to specific causes over the years. The COVID-19 pandemic has also had a significant impact on the number of deaths in Canada in 2020. Overall, the number of deaths in Canada has increased over the years, but improvements in medical technology and public health have helped to decrease the age-adjusted death rate. However, there are still significant challenges facing the healthcare system, including the opioid epidemic and the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
